Hi, Mick here from Green Homes Builders. We operate a green construction residential building business in Australia, New Zealand and the US under a franchise model. The first thing that we did when we extended the brand to the US in 2019 was join the National Association of Home Builders and strategically that was one of the best business decisions we made. Not only did we get to meet two wonderful, very experienced gentlemen, Robert and Jason August who have steered our brand closely with the management team on our expansion and opened many, many opportunities. We’ve got access to resources that were previously not available to us. The highlight of my building career and many within the Green Homes group was our business winning the Global Innovations Global Home of the Year Award in January 2023.
The credibility that came with that award that has opened doors and cemented opportunities for our brand beyond comprehension. The IBS itself is what I would say and I describe it as the centre of the universe for all things construction. Anything that you need from a builder’s point of view for your business is available there or through the resources of the National Association of Home Builders. I look forward to many years to come of membership and fruitful opportunities forthcoming and I enjoy and value my membership or our membership with the National Association of Home Builders to the highest regard. Thank you for all that you do. Thank you for the support. Thank you to Robert and Jason August for wonderful leadership guidance and mentorship that we relied on heavily in our growth and expansion in the US. From a company that is outside of the US that is a very daunting experience and can be fraught with many costly mistakes. I would say that the best thing that you can do in any expansion is align yourself with people that can help you steer around those pitfalls and provide you knowledge and resources that are going to help you to the success curve that you desire. That’s what the National Association of Home Builders is. It’s a group.
Of people that are genuinely interested in the best outcome for all of their members so thank you. I look forward to many years of membership in the future and the new opportunities that come with that membership.
